Today a newspaper article from 1993 and a video especially made for the blog by Attaremad from the performance in the Royal Albert Hall that year. Also some more information from the Christies catalogue about the (Ferrari)-dress Dame Shirley Bassey wears for this performance. She also wore this dress for the filming of La Passione.
Nothing can dampen our mood when it comes to We Got Music. Dame Shirley’s latest hit! Scott F Rogers’ recent fan video on Vimeo is great fun. It shows edited video clips of Dario G, Dame Shirley Bassey, and a variety of Tango Dancers. He describes the song as an “Excellent new Latin-type dance tune:”

Let’s hope there will be something else promotion-wise to follow. It would be very interesting to know how the general listening public responded to this song (if they ever get to hear it!)
The latest DSB song “We Got Music” has received very mixed reactions:
Scott: “Excellent new Latin-type dance tune written by the talented Dario G with superb Dame Shirley Bassey vocal backing.”
Paul: “An utter embarrassment for DSB, let’s try to forget about this disgrace of a song as quickly as we possibly can.”
Philip: “Not worth the effort of getting out of bed.”

On October the 27th. 1996 Dame Shirley Bassey recorded her Birthday Special in London. On the show was Paul Zerdin who is a ventriloquist. Here you can watch a video of some unseen footage of the recording of his part of the show. He sang ‘As I Love You’ on the show. Also below a magazine from 1996 with a great interview.
